If you ask my husband he’ll tell you I’m addicited to facebook. He’s probably right. I do spend a good portion of my day checking messages and wall posts and updating my business page but it’s all in the name of business (and gossip). Well he can’t complain anymore because my addiction to facebook lead us to scoring free tickets through Eat Maine’s fan page for the Cellardoor Winery event at Grace this past Tuesday evening. I can’t really think of a better way to spend a Tuesday night than sampling lots of wine and meeting new people. Actually that’s how I’d like to spend every night.
The night started out sampling some of Cellardoor’s more tame wines and some delicious treats provided by Grace First up was the Viognier and Gewurztraminer but quickly moved on to what I believe is my new obsession, aptly named Serendipity. Oh. My. God. I pretty much died after this wine. This night was perfect and left me wishing that I had a sweet little apartment in downtown Portland so I could stay all night and dance. Speaking of dance! Let me take a minute to RAVE about the DJ! My life has a soundtrack, it’s in my head, but there’s a soundtrack none the less. Well tonight DJ Jon was spinning my life soundtrack with a perfect mix of 80′s and 90′s. Mr. DJ Jon, had you thrown in something from Top Gun my life would have been complete.
Thanks so much to the lovely Bettina Doulton the vineyard owner for putting on such a lovely event. I’m not a wine person, Miss Bettina, you’ve converted me. I’m running out tomorrow in search of Cellardoor wines!
Here’s a sampling of images from the evening but you can check out the full gallery by clicking here
